Why is there a war? - Page 2 Empty Re: Why is there a war?

The first reason that caused the war was the control of the stupid government. "There is a class that controls a country that is stupid and does not realize anything and never can." which mentioned in the passaged denotes that the governments are naive and ignorant. They hadn't involve in the war and didn't understand damages caused from it. They just started the war with no reason, just to satisfied their willing to fight. But it was soldiers and people who were hurt by the cruel war.
The second reason is the cruel and frightening policy of the war. “They lined up afterward and took every tenth man. Carabinieri shot them.”,”A sergeant shot two officers who would not get out”. The people who refused to involve in the war would be punished cruelly and their family would also be ruined. The soldier didn't want these happened so they helped the government in the war, which they are not willing to do.
The third reason is the fear of war. Their willing to win the war pulsed they continued involving the war. They didn't stop it because of their rights and homes.

The first reason is “There is a class that controls a country that is stupid and does not realize anything and never can. That is why we have this war." It’s the stupid leaders’ wrong decisions that causes the war and they won’t correct their mistakes and continue making even worse decisions that causes the war situation more seriously.
The second reason is “They lined up afterward and took every tenth man. Carabinieri shot them.”,”A sergeant shot two officers who would not get out”. It shows the consequences of the soldiers that refused to join the war. Such strong force is just like holding a knife next to your neck and force you to fight for the army even though the war itself is mistake. The war couldn’t happen without the soldiers’ participant.
Even though no one we encounter seems to believe in war, leaders that want to take control still have to make the decision of war.

The first reason for the war is the stupid government. In page 48, “There is a class that controls a country that is stupid and does not realize anything and never can. That is why we have this war.” Since most of the government officials have never been to the frontline, they just enact operation plan through their imagination and feeling. As a result, most of the decisions were completely wrong and created disadvantages for the soldiers. Another reason is that the soldiers didn’t have much thought. For example, in page 46, the bersaglieri even didn’t know if they were the ones who attack. The only thing the could do was to obey the orders from the stupid government. So one continuously announce unreasonable orders and the other one immediately follow these orders, then war happened.
However, we can see that almost no one believe in war. But the war still continued because the army would kill those deserters as a warning to others. For example, in page 46, for those who didn’t want to attack, one out of ten was shot. Even two officials were shot. In addition, not only the soldiers themselves were punished, their families were involved in the punishment. So the soldier had to continue to fight and the war would not stop.

one first reason is that some stupid people control the country. These people do not care about the benefit of these soldiers, and use their life to gain benefit. These people can get benefit through the war, so they start a war without caring about these soldier’s feeling.
Another reason is that even though one side of the war did not attack the other side at first, the other side will attack the side. The war is not avoidable, and these soldiers had nothing to do about it.
And the war went on even nobody wanted that only because that the only thing worse than the war is being defeated in the war, so the soldiers have to do every possible effort to fight in order to win the war.

Firstly there is a reason which is straight-forwardly illustrated on page 48. "There is a class that controls a country that is stupid and does not realize anything and never can. That is why we have this war." This is claiming the war is caused by the insensible government, which does not give much attention to the overall trade-offs and situations. The damage to soldiers and their family is irrevocable. But the government itself can never have experienced the trauma endured by the people.
Secondly, is a point represented on page 47, “There is nothing worse than the war… Defeat is worse.” Since the war has initiated in the first place, losing the war will be the most severe consequence. Therefore, this is an important factor for the continuation of the war event. The participating two countries will only put forward more and more energy and resources to help win the war. Both of them will spare no effort to achieve the status for their expectations- being on the winning side of the war.
